Vincent Cheng Recognized: Vincent Cheng in December 2007 was the San Francisco Bar Association’s Volunteer of the Month for his on-going work with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.

Vincent Cheng Appointed to ALRP Board of Directors: Vincent Cheng in June 2007 was appointed to the Board of Directors of the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. Founded in 1983, the ALRP is a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco that provides to persons living with HIV/AIDS free and low-cost legal assistance and education on many civil matters including housing, employment, and insurance.

OCA 29th Annual Convention Honors Civil Rights Leaders Bill Lann Lee and Helen Zia: OCA, a national Asian Pacific American organization with 80 chapters and affiliates dedicated to advancing the political, social, and economic well-being of APAs, announced on June 13, 2007 that Bill Lann Lee was one of the two honorees for the OCA Outstanding Citizen Achievement Award.; “The contributions of Bill Lann Lee and Helen Zia to the Asian Pacific American community and to the story of struggle in America are innumerable. We are honored to be able to recognize them at this year’s convention for their dedication to civil rights and to advancing the social well-being of all Americans,” said Ginny Gong, OCA National President

Daniel Feinberg’s Article Published.: Daniel Feinberg’s article on the Ninth Circuit’s en banc decision in Abatie v. Alta Health & Life Ins. Co., 458 F.3d 955 (9th Cir. 2006) (en banc), was published in the September–October 2006 issue of ERISA Litigation Reporter.

Daniel Feinberg receives BASF Award.: Dan Feinberg received the 2006 Champion of Justice Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) at the BASF Foundation Gala on October 10, 2006. This award is the highest honor the BASF Foundation bestows upon a member of the Bay Area legal community.
