Angelica K. Jongco

Angelica Kristen Jongco joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2008, following a two-year fellowship in education and transportation justice issues with the non-profit civil rights firm Public Advocates. From 2005 to 2006, Ms. Jongco clerked for the Honorable Denny Chin of the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Jongco is a graduate of New York University (NYU) Law School, where she received the Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholarship, the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, the NYU President’s Award for Community Service, and the John Sexton Prize for law school service. As a student in the Immigrant Rights Clinic, she argued successfully before the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Jongco worked as a legal intern for the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. She also served as an Articles Selection Editor for the NYU Review of Law and Social Change. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University.

Ms. Jongco serves on the boards of the Bay Area Chapter of the American Constitution Society, the Bay Area Parent Leadership Action Network (PLAN), Asian Pacific Americans for Progress (APAP), and the NYU Law Black Latino and Asian Pacific American Alumni Association (BLAPA).  She is also a member of the Asian American Bar Association Civil Rights Committee.
