Kirsten Gibney Scott

Kirsten Gibney Scott joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Scott served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, as a legal intern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and as a law clerk with the Legal Aid Society -- Employment Law Center.

Ms. Scott is co-author of the "Mediating Wage and Hour Disputes" chapter in the 2010 California Wage and Hour: Law and Litigation practice guide published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar, California, which received the 2011 "Best Publication" Award of Professional Excellence given by the Association for Continuing Legal Education. Ms. Scott was a speaker at the 2011 Annual Convention of the National Employment Lawyers Association, presenting "ERISA: Let There Be No Right Without a Remedy -- Maximizing Recovery Under Section 510." She also volunteers as a supervising attorney with the Legal Aid Society -- Employment Law Center's Workers' Rights Clinic.

Ms. Scott is a 2007 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where she served as an Articles Editor and Speaker Series Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law, and was a student director for the East Bay Workers' Rights Clinic. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
