Nina Wasow
Nina Wasow joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Susan Graber of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Saundra Brown Armstrong of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Ms. Wasow is the author of "Appeals Court Considers the Boundaries of Indemnification for ESOP Fiduciaries," published in the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, Employee Benefits Committee Newsletter, Summer 2009; "Plaintiffs Prevail in Johnson v. Couturier," published in the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, Employee Benefits Committee Newsletter, Fall 2009; "Commentary to DOL's Proposed Changes on the Definition of 'Fiduciary,'" published in the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, Employee Benefits Committee Newsletter, Winter 2010; and "A Reasonable Proposal: Treat ESOP Valuators as Fiduciaries Under ERISA," published by The Bureau of National Affairs, Pension & Benefits Daily section on July 8, 2011. She was a speaker at the annual meeting of the ABA's Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section in 2010, and at the ABA/JCEB 20th Annual National Institute on ERISA Litigation in 2010. In 2011, Super Lawyers magazine named her a "Rising Star" among Northern California attorneys.
Ms. Wasow is a graduate of New York University School of Law. She served as the Executive Editor of the Review of Law and Social Change and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Wasow is a graduate of Columbia University, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
